Shipping updates + some learnings

Posted by Rudy Marsh on March 29, 2016 . 0 Comments

As most of you know, this kickstarter was created to be a learning experience for me.  I really just wanted to understand how it worked, and I wanted to share something important to me with the world.

It turned out to be one of the great journeys of my life.  Not only have I learned a hundred times more than I expected to, but I've run into the most amazing community of people I've ever met. The support for this project and the Esington Glass idea is still something that is driving me to learn more and do better.

Before giving the shipping updates, I wanted to share just a few of the things I've learned along the way.  If you are itching to see the shipping updates, go ahead and take a peek at the bottom :)

I always thought "extreme productivity" was only available to...

Quick update: 2nd Factory Order Complete!

Posted by Rudy Marsh on March 29, 2016 . 0 Comments

The messages I've received from those of you getting the glasses has been so inspiring! Thank you so much to those of you who have taken time to leave such wonderful feedback.  It makes me feel like I've truly made a small difference in this world, and I can't thank you all enough for that.

The 2nd factory order has been completed!  I'm syncing the factory that makes the bases with the factory that makes the glasses, so they can be shipped together as a unit straight to Amazon. The actual shipment to Amazon will go out on Monday, most likely.  After the shipment arrives and passes through customs, it will be sent to the nearest Amazon warehouse.  After a week or so of processing, the 2nd batch will begin shipping out! International orders will also begin ramping up next week.  As usual, everyone will receive a shipment...

Shipping updates and timelines!

Posted by Rudy Marsh on March 29, 2016 . 0 Comments

It's been a crazy week and we are still packing!  We are now pretty efficient at working through the packages, but it's still a slow process since we are checking every glass.  The QA at the factory is actually pretty amazing since we haven't really found any that would be considered "defective". There is one glass we took out that had a tiny "hair" of glass stuck to the inside of it, which was barely noticeable.  This is out of many hundreds of glasses we examined, so I'm very, very happy with the quality and factory QA thus far.  It's pretty amazing for a handmade product. This gives me a lot of confidence going into our future with Amazon fulfillment.

Several of you have started getting glasses and the results are unanimous.  The glass looks much better in person than it does in pictures.  This proves that I...

My plan is to fly in this first batch to get them asap. After that, we will perform quality tests here to make sure the glasses you get are of top quality.

Once a factory has gained my trust with quality, I will have them shipped directly to Amazon, who will then...

Price increases and a cool video at the factory

Posted by Rudy Marsh on February 06, 2015 . 0 Comments

hope everyone had an awesome week!

First of all, the prices on esington.com will increase on Monday (the 9th) and I'll be removing the MINI Trio add-on option.  As I posted before, we will be moving towards the retail price as we get to the end of production.  If you have any friends or family that want to get in at the lower price, now's the time :)

I also wanted to give you a quick update on where we stand with production.  So far, we are still on schedule:

  • February 12th: first batch production completed
  • February 17th: first batch arrives here, and we begin boxing and shipping
  • February 18th: 2nd batch begins production
  • February 21st: first batch shipment complete

Right now, the glass blowers are producing about 200 units per day. I wanted to share the production video of how they...

Pre-orders, bases, status and more!

Posted by Rudy Marsh on January 31, 2015 . 0 Comments

Wow, it's been a busy couple of days!  I decided to take a breather and give you a little update.

Many of you have messaged me saying you missed the MINI Trio offer.  There was also some confusion about what you get with the MINI Trio.  You will getthree MINI glasses, one of each color (not just one glass).  My apologizes for not making it clear!

I set up an temporary order page at esington.com so you can still claim the MINI Trio add-on: http://esington.com/products/mini-trio-add-on
Please let me know you your current order (or backer id) in the order details so I can ship everything together.

If you have friends and family who missed out on the kickstarter, or you want to add to your order, I'm taking preorders on Esington.com as well.

I put together some coupon codes to account for multi-packs:

We did it! A keystone habit for the world

Posted by Rudy Marsh on January 31, 2015 . 0 Comments

The support you have shown Esington these past 30 days has been incredibly uplifting.  The feeling of having such a wonderful community believe in your vision is beyond words.

I was once again moved to share my thoughts now that the campaign is now over:
We've made our little dent in the universe.  From here, I want to continue pushing the idea of personal productivity and personal growth forward.  How would you like to see that happen? Let me know and let's do it together!

Imagine this Kickstarter as a keystone habit for the world.
I know it's supposed to be the other way around, but productivity brought me a vision of a greater world to live in:  more leaders, more doers, more self-worth, more people dying to live instead of vice-versa.  What we've done here, together, feels supremely...
